Studies

We live our lives forward, but understand them backwards.

We at the Alexander Alliance can now look back to our beginnings. Over 27 years ago, Martha and I began to apprentice under Marjorie L. Barstow - the person first certified to teach F. Matthias Alexander’s work.

Looking backwards, we see where our movement forward has led us.

The Alexander Alliance is a learning community devoted to interdisciplinary research between Alexander’s Work and other complimentary disciplines. The Claymont Course is designed for everyone: for new students, for experienced students, for trainees, and for Alexander Teachers.
