Looking backwards, we see where our movement forward has led us.

We have become a haven for artists, movers, healers, and seekers.

People have come to us, as to an oasis, to learn how to care for themselves, while serving others.

Artists have come to break through old habits of being that have hampered them technically, but most of all, creatively and personally.

They have come to learn how to help other people, and themselves, become better artists, but they have also come to learn how to help other artists, and themselves, become better people.

The Claymont Retreat is not a college course. It is a community-based retreat.

a retreat is - a movement back, away from danger

a retreat is - a giving up of a particular position or point of view, with the intention of reducing conflict.

a retreat is - a quiet, safe, secluded place where people go for rest, contemplation, and inspiration.

The Claymont Retreat will give you the chance to work with the Alexander Alliance’s International Community of Directors and Teachers.

Together we are revitalizing and re-visioning Alexander’s work for the demands of 21st century life.
